Dickson Dolphins 2011 Homecoming Princess
So the Dickson Dolphins had there homecoming...on a Friday Night!!! Didn't like that. But We were told a couple of weeks ago that Tatum would be Homecoming Princess. I am so excited for her. It was again hard to keep this secret from her. I have video...coming soon....of her just so unaware until Coach Sarah puts on her sash and she read it...the BIG smile on her face says so much. I really love my baby girl and I am so proud of her. Tatum is an amazing young lady and I'm not saying this because she my daughter! She is very friendly and helps out her family..she deserved this.

Spring 2011 Sports

So Tatum has started Sports again. Of course Soccer and she added something new to the mix, softball. This is her 2nd year of soccer and 1st in Softball, This past weekend (4/2/11) Tatum has 2 soccer games. Let me tell you , I am one happy momma! She played goalie for the first time. (Previous season they didn't have goalies)

She knew what she was doing. She played goalie the second half of the game. She took a ball in the gut and just kicked that ball down the field. The coach wants her to be goalie again this weekend. That's my girl. Now as for softball, she is getting the hang of it. however most of the girls on her team have been playing since they were 4 or 5. She has a lot to learn but I have faith in her. We will just have to teach her.

I played softball for 1 year when I was 12 or 13. I loved it, but I was terrible at it so I didn't play again because I thought I was letting my team down just by playing. And I did it because it let me spend more time with my Best Friend Erin Chumley.

One of the funny parts is that Tatum's Team name is Tennsco, which is where Bobby works. So we have to support Tennsco everywhere! :)

Tatum seems to enjoy it and right now there are no conflicts with her doing soccer and softball at the same time. So I guess time can only tell.

Dolphin Homecoming

Thursday Night (Sept 9th) Tatum's Cheer Coach came up to Bobby and I and told us Tatum will be crown Duchess (2nd runner-up) of Homecoming Saturday Night. I am so proud of her. She will be so excited. It was real hard not to tell her right then and there, tell her how proud we are that she is our daughter. It has to wait and the look on her face, the big grin she had. Priceless!

Something New...

The Kids embarked on something new......Football and Cheerleading. Jayden is a PeeWee and Tatum is a Minor. They really enjoy it.....so far.

And I am glad she is starting to like these sports. She really enjoys Soccer and is going to soccer camp this summer. She wants to get better. Her coach told her the other day that she a potential. She can kick let me tell you and her kicks are fierce.

Lucky One 4 Continue....Trip to Alabama...Never was good at Science

Okay so in April i won ticket to McWane Science Center in Alabama. Well My sister Jordan and her 2 kids joined us in the fun of knowledge. I was really fun. I started our day bright and early 7am. took to the road make several bathroom breaks. We have 3 kids who just haven't learned to hold. On the way there We witnessed something I have never seen before.......a wreak in the making. On the opposite side of the interstate driving north bound was a SUV in the median driving straight for us, then we look up and there she was a King Cab Pickup truck towing a travel trailer, the trailer was fishtailing and then it just tipped over taking the truck with it, the camper fell against the interstate sign, the truck just kept on flipping. I called 911 but for the sake of the 4 kids we were traveling with i didn't stop to check. I was afraid the the lookers....and you know that the drivers would be looking at whats going on and not pay a lick of attention....would hit us. So I just dialed 911 gave the information and kept on going. I still wonder to this day if that family is okay. And I thank God that the Tractor Trailer traveling behind the Camper was able to stop and not cause anymore damage. But eventually we made our way to the Science Center. It was awesome. There were lots of things to do and see. The Kids could interact with just about everything there. We stayed about 4 hours and left for home. By the end of the trip kids were getting restless but I have to say it was the best trip I had in a long time.

Soccer 2009

Okay so Tatum not really been into sports. But the last year or two she has been wanting to play soccer: just never knew how to get her enrolled, so This year I found out how and I signed her up, she had her first game last weekend. Watching her have so much fun has been really exciting. She is really enjoying herself.

Now we just need to get Jayden interested in something. He does not want to do soccer. He wants to play football. so I guess stay tuned in the fall and see if Jay falls through.

Meet Tatum Nicole

Okay so Tatum is who I call "Little Momma". Ever since she was born she was very independent. And as soon as she got her little brother, she has played momma. Not that I am not doing my job as mom, but Tatum looks after him and watches his every move. It amaaaazzzes me how much she loves her brother and would do anything for him. She makes sure he get to bed with a pull-up and with his teeth brushed. She makes sure he is all tucked in. About a month ago my job has a picnic, everyone there was telling me how she would go over to Jayden asking him where his shoes were and to be careful. My co workers told me she would not let him out of her sights. I think that this is most wonderful thing someone could do for there siblings. It makes me think that they will grow up and be so close and will be there for each other as adults. Oh and if Jay gets in trouble, can you guess who he goes running to..........yep his sissy.

Okay on another subject of Tatum. Tatum is 7 years old and will be 8 in November. She has just started the 2nd grade. Now here teacher is Ms. Freda Ruston. She use to be my Math teacher in 7th grade. So Tatum is excited about have a teacher that use to be mom's teacher. She wants to be like me, but I won't let her. Tatum will do anything you ask her to do....well she won't really do what I say, but then again who listens to their mother and father anyway....lol, love you mom and dad.
